"How is 9Zoom different from Zoom/Meet?" — Zoom/Meet are calling tools. 9Zoom is a Room operating system: it unifies meeting + teaching + selling + community, your data stays with you, it runs on infrastructure you control, with no per-minute billing. See the Room OS thesis.

"Self-hosting sounds hard — can ordinary people use it?" — That is exactly why the roadmap includes a managed one-tap edition. Self-host is for organizations that need sovereignty; managed is for everyone else. (Honesty: the managed edition is roadmap.)

"Doing this many things — isn't it spread thin?" — The crux is the shared foundation: room types share the same components, so breadth comes from reuse, not from rebuilding each type from scratch. The execution strategy is to win one niche deeply first, then expand — see Go-to-market.

"Is low-cost financially sustainable?" — The model tracks infrastructure cost (thanks to self-hosting) instead of per-minute fees, combined with licensing/support (self-host) + subscriptions (managed) + the ecosystem (future).

"Can privacy/sovereignty be exploited for bad purposes?" — The risk exists; that is why governance, safety, and abuse prevention are mandatory preconditions (see section 8.8).
